The

Fellowship

Experience

THE FIRST LIBERTY FELLOWSHIP IS AN EXCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM EQUIPPING RISING LEADERS TO BUILD A FREE AND FLOURISHING SOCIETY.

Those who work in and near Washington, D.C. and our state capitals play a vital role in safeguarding freedom. Many work in government and many others work in organizations that report the news, conduct policy research, or provide vital education about pressing issues. The First Liberty Fellowship is targeted to young people seeking to explore careers like these in public service. Fellows will hear from wide range of experts and learn about opinion writing, the role of quantitative work in policy making, working in government and non-profit settings, and how to build a rewarding career. Speakers include those who have worked in government service, held elected office, counseled members of Congress, written for international news organizations, represented the United States as senior diplomats, and provided economic analysis to America’s intelligence community.

Why should I
apply?

The First Liberty Fellowship is ideal for high achieving students who aspire to work for federal, state, or local governments, as well as those who want to pursue a career related to public policy, lobbying, or think tank research.

Our fellows often come from programs in law, history, philosophy, and political science, but students from all fields of study are welcome.
